Census REST files provide a way for users to request TIGER\Line information from Census GIS servers files through Representational
State Transfer (REST)technology. Clients issue requests to the server through structured URLs. The server responds with map images,
text-based geographic information, or other resources that satisfy the request.
The 2016 Military and Other Special Land Use Areas REST File contains Military Installations; January 1, 2010 vintage. This Rest
service contains data as of January 1,2016 .

The GeoServices REST Specification provides a standard way for web clients to communicate with geographic information system
(GIS) servers through Representational State Transfer (REST) technology. Clients issue requests to the server through structured
URLs. The Map service offers access to map and layer content. It also serves up tabular data. This operation also supports the
Export Map, Identify and Find child operations. Export Map delivers a dynamically, or on the fly, drawn map image. Identify
returns information about features in one or more layers at a given location when a user clicks a mouse. Find returns
information about features in one or more fields in one or more layers based on a keyword. It comes in the following formats:
PNG32, PNG24, JPG, DIB, TIFF, EMF, PDF, GIF, SVG, SVGZ, and BMP.
